There was an outpouring of support from local businesses resulting in a large amount of items in the auction, many of which were won at a low price by attendees. The Lions use everything beyond costs of charity, according to new member Brown, including such things as building handicap ramps for people who can’t afford them, which he said is the reason he joined the nonprofit. “The things we contribute to, it’s phenomenal,” Brown said.
