Local positions available with Washington Conservation Corps

The Washington Conservation Corps, a program within Washington Department of Ecology, geared toward protecting and restoring the environment, has opened 15 positions on crews based in Clallam County.

The Washington Conservation Corps, a program within Washington Department of Ecology, geared toward protecting and restoring the environment, has opened 15 positions on crews based in Clallam County.

In partnership with AmeriCorps, the WCC provides year-long, full-time member positions statewide for young adults ages 18-25, with no age restrictions for Gulf War Era II veterans, reservists and dependents.

Participants gain valuable, hands-on experience working in the environment.

Crews rebuild boardwalks and trails, plant native trees and shrubs and provide emergency and recovery response for communities in need after natural disasters.
