March keeps community focus on race equality

A crowd at Carrie Blake Community Park to support the Black Lives Matter movement eventually swells to about 400, as hundreds marched through Sequim’s streets to decry racism, bigotry and discrimination on June 12. The march mirrored dozens of similar demonstrations across Washington state. Event organizers urged participants of all ages to get involved, from community discussions about race to running for local offices to attending workshops with the Port Angeles Racial Justice Collective.
