The rich tapestry of Freemasonry lectures continue at Sequim’s Masonic Lodge, 700 S. Fifth Ave., Sequim, as John Majors uses a Persian carpet recently to illustrate how symbolism is woven into the design of Masonic philosophy.
“Masonic Concepts in the Declaration of Independence” is the next presentation at the lodge from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27. It is the third presentation of a six-part series held the fourth Tuesday of the month celebrating the lodge’s upcoming 100th anniversary.
Since its founding in 1915 the lodge has tallied more than 650 members and in the past 20 years awarded over $800,000 in scholarships to Sequim High School students.
