This year’s Clallam County Master Gardener Garden Tour, Petals and Pathways 2013, is scheduled for June 29.
The tour highlights seven gardens in the Sequim area. Water features abound in this year’s selection of gardens.
Practical low-maintenance gardening solutions for growing vegetables, berries and tree fruit are featured, as are a variety of interesting plant collections including dwarf conifers and Japanese maples.
Centerpiece plants include a flowering cherry presiding over a garden pond, clump bamboos, white birches, a coral bark maple, a weeping white pine, Hinoki cypress, a golden chain tree and bonsai.
Walk along meandering paths and see stunning views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca; Victoria, British Columbia; the Dungeness Spit; and Mount Baker from many of the gardens.
Tickets are $15 per person and are available for purchase starting May 1. For tickets, call Karen Haines at 360-504-5655 or e-mail khaines219@gmail.com).
Tickets also will be available online starting May 1 at gardentour.brownpapertickets.com.
