Hailey Estes of Sequim recently earned a place on the Dean’s List at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Estes, a junior at Wake Forest and a 2012 Sequim High graduate, will complete a double major in business and enterprise management and Spanish in the spring of 2016. She recently completed a semester studying in Argentina and Santiago, Chile, with a stopover on Easter Island, pictured here.

Estes’ study at Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago was highlighted by courses in Latin American culture, music and the arts, and included a 16-week home-stay with a longtime Santiago family.

Estes is the volunteer coordinator for Campus Kitchen and also serves as finance director for Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at Wake Forest. She will spend the coming summer months as a paid staff intern with the American Junior Golf Association, headquartered near Atlanta, Ga.
