Morgana Ferguson, a freshman at Sequim High School, was recognized as the Sequim Sunrise Rotary’s January student of the month.

Ferguson was nominated by teacher Mark Knudson, who teaches the career and technical education class at Sequim High School. Knudson told the Rotary club how proud he was of her for obtaining her Microsoft Office Specialist Master certificate, which recognizes her as a master across Microsoft Office applications. Some of Ferguson’s favorite classes include technology, drawing and art. She also is involved with the Future Business Leaders of America club.

In her free time, she likes to read, play video games, blog and hang out with her friends. Her future plans include attending college in the field of technology or political science.

Ferguson has lived in Sequim her entire life and has three siblings. She attended the Rotary meeting with her mother, Lisa Ferguson.
