Marielle Lopes, the daughter of Steve and Cathy Lopes of Sequim, will graduate June 5 with a Doctorate in Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences in Portland, Ore., and will be doing her residency in anesthesiology in Burlington, Vt.

Her husband, Loic Fabricant, who grew up in Sequim until the age of 12, also will be taking a position as a critical care surgeon there.

Lopes graduated from Sequim High School in 2003.
