Boy Scouts from Sequim Troop 1498 had the opportunity to hone their first aid skills with the Olympic Ambulance staff on Feb. 18.

The local ambulance company hosted 13 Scouts and helped them work through the requirements for the First Aid merit badge. All of the Scouts had the opportunity to run through first aid scenarios led by Olympic Ambulance EMTs, with topics including bleeding management, splinting, neck and back injuries and using an Automated External Defibrillator.

After running through all of the scenarios, the Scouts and leaders built first aid kits with supplies and equipment donated by Olympic Ambulance.
