The Automotive Technology Program at Peninsula College has received accreditation by the National Automotive Technician’s Education Foundation.

Peninsula College’s program has been accredited under the Master Automotive Service Technician designation.

To achieve this coveted recognition, Peninsula College’s Automotive Technology Program underwent what program officials call a “rigorous evaluation” by the foundation.

Peninsula College’s Automotive Technology Program also was awarded academic certification in science, language arts and mathematics, making Peninsula College the only college automotive program in Washington and Oregon to achieve this standard.

“During the past few months, we have worked closely with NATEF to make certain our program would meet strict industry standards and now we are delighted to continue with the ranks of the NATEF accredited training programs,” said Mike Hansen, instructor and program coordinator for the Automotive Technology Program. “Students will be assured of a quality education and shop owners will be assured of getting quality job applicants.”
