Milestone: Penland gets Elks vocational scholarship

A $2,500 Joseph Darimont Vocational Scholarship through the Washington State Elks Association recently was presented to Natasha Penland of Sequim.

A $2,500 Joseph Darimont Vocational Scholarship through the Washington State Elks Association recently was presented to Natasha Penland of Sequim.

The scholarship is designed to help an individual who is preparing to return or enter the workforce.

Penland is enrolled at The Hair Place and is studying to become a hairdresser.
