Castell Insurance held its fourth annual shred event Aug. 15 at its office on Washington Street. In the two-hour event they collected over $2,150 in cash donations plus hundreds of dollars of back to school supplies.

The cash and supplies were donated to support the Back to School event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Boys & Girls Club.

The Back to School event is sponsored by the club, Sequim School District, Parenting Matters and First Teacher, and is to benefit local students with school supplies.

Phil Castell said, “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our clients and community in helping support the school students of the community. We even had clients drop off homemade cookies during the event as way of thanks also. Those were not donated to the B&G Club but were enjoyed by staff and volunteers at the event.”
