NAMI to show film about schizophrenia

A film on schizophrenia starring Diana Ross will be shown at the NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Affiliate meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the basement of Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles. “Out of Darkness” portrays Ross as a former med student who becomes ill with paranoid schizophrenia and loses 18 years of her life due to the illness.

Anyone interested in NAMI, those who suffer with a mental illness and family members with a loved one who suffers with mental illness are invited to the meeting. Refreshments will be served. Call 452-4235.
