The Sequim Little League Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Sequim Boys &Girls Club library, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim, to accept nominations for people who would like to appear on the ballot for the new 2017 board of directors.

Some board positions are much more involved than others, so there is a spot for everyone depending on how much time/energy you have to offer. There are several positions on the executive board open and many more volunteer positions that need to be filled.

All positions are open for election, even if that spot is currently filled.

Several vacancies are expected as many of our board members’ children have aged out of the program.

Following is a list of all the Sequim Little League positions:

Executive Board Positions: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, boys player agent, girls player agent, safety officer, coaching coordinator and communication officer. Volunteer/officer positions open are umpire coordinator, registration, team parent, concession coordinator, field maintenance, equipment manager, scheduler and fundraising/sponsorship.

Anyone who has a notable record of volunteering in 2016 within the league (coaching, umpiring, etc.) may vote.

The league serves about 250 youths in baseball and softball divisions each year.
