Donald S. Wedin
No service has been reported for Sequim resident Donald S. Wedin, who died Aug. 17, 2008, at the age of 90.
He was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Round Lake, Wis., to David and Selma Walsten Wedin.
He served in the United States Naval Air Force as a pilot and navigator between 1942-46.
He graduated from the University of California with a bachelor’s degree in bacteriology in 1951.
He married Mary Wedin in June 1954.
He worked in public health, research and hospital laboratories.
He retired with his wife near Tomah, Wis., and grazed cattle in the summer. They moved to Sequim six years ago, traveled frequently and visited many interesting countries.

Julie Anne Stilwell
A service for Port Angeles resident Julie Anne Stilwell will be held at a later date. Mrs. Stilwell died Aug. 18, 2008, at the age of 41 of complications from pneumonia.
She was born March 1, 1967, in Wilmington, Del., to Howard Edward and Leslie Judith Spotkov Green.
She married Tommy R. Stilwell on Nov. 29, 1992, in New Market, N.H.
She studied landscape architecture, automotive mechanics and accounting.
Mrs. Stilwell was an online craft business entrepreneur.
She lived in Los Angeles, Calif.; Franklin, N.H.; Springdale, Ark.; and Port Angeles.
She was a member of Port Angeles Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stilwell of Port Angeles; parents Leslie Spotkov of Port Angeles and Howard and Vivian Saatjian Green of Los Angeles, Calif.; and sister Miranda Green of Afognak, Alaska.

Philip Eugene Brown
No service will be held at the request of Sequim resident Philip Eugene Brown, who died Aug. 20, 2008, at the age of 93 of bone cancer.
He was born June 16, 1915, in Hebron, Neb., to Herbert Lester and Anna Maud Carey Brown.
He married Bonnie Belle Currey on Jan. 31, 1936, in Washington, Kan. She preceded him in death.
He served as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II.
Mr. Brown was a former rancher, plumber, electrician, finish carpenter, builder, inventor, aeronautical inspector and antique car restorer. During his life, he excelled at the many careers he chose to follow.
He lived in various places including Nebraska, Hawaii, California, Arizona, Kansas and various parts of Washington. He moved to Sequim 19 years ago.
In 2004, at age 89, he won the national Larry Ames Memorial Award for the "Best Owner Restored Car 1913 Through 1937" for his restoration of a 1931 Model A Ford. He was a member of Sequim Valley Antique Car Club.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Gary and Pam Brown of Issaquah and Larry Brown of Tonasket; daughters and son-in-law Carole Hauskins of Sequim; Karen and Bill Hewgley of Sandy, Ore.; and Linda Monforte of Clinton; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Constance Nordin
Henriksson
No service was reported for Sequim resident Constance Nordin Henriksson, who died Aug. 18, 2008, at the age of 98.
She was born Sept. 17, 1909, in Chicago, Ill., to Albert and Laura Brevitz Nordin.
She graduated from Senn High School in Chicago in 1926 and after attending business college, worked for several investment banking firms in Chicago.
She married Gustav Hugo Henriksson on July 7, 1937. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1991.
In 1950, they moved to Northbrook, Ill., where she was secretary at the Village Church-Presbyterian. At retirement in 1969, they moved to Sequim.
Mrs. Henriksson served on the board of the Dungeness Community Club and the Sequim-Dungeness Museum. She also volunteered with the Museum and Arts Center.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and of Chapter FY of P.E.O.
She is survived by her son Eric Henriksson, of Sequim; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Albert Brevitz Nordin and Lorr W. Nordin.

Barbara Eda Wolverton
No service was reported for Sequim resident Barbara Eda Wolverton, who died Aug. 18, 2008, at the age of 73 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
She was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Stockton, Calif., to Luther and Dorothy Klennert Wegner.
She graduated from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland.
She married Richard Wolverton on Feb. 14, 1955, in Bothell.
Mrs. Wolverton lived most of her life in Washington and California.
She worked for banks for more than 20 years, including Lincoln Savings in Seattle and Bank of America in Sacramento and Santa Monica, Calif. She was a bookkeeper, teller and loan officer.
She enjoyed sewing and crafts, winning a Gold Key Award in high school for ceramics.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Wolverton of Sequim; son Anthony "Tony" Wolverton of Tacoma; and sister Mary Yates of Montlake Terrace.

Doris B. Scott
Former longtime Sequim resident Doris B. Scott died Aug. 16, 2008, at the age of 83.
She was born in Darrington on Aug. 21, 1924.
She is survived by son Greg Shapley of Craig, Alaska; daughter Carole Heath of Kent; brother Dale Snyder, also of Craig, Alaska; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
