Herbert M. ‘Jack’ Quinn
A celebration of life for Sequim resident Herbert M. "Jack" Quinn will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Dungeness Community Church, 45 Eberle Lane, Sequim.
Mr. Quinn died Sept. 6, 2009, at the age of 78.
He was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Forks, to Raymond and Letitia Morton Quinn.
He was a captain in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1954-1962.
He married Barbara Ann Nelson in Lombard, Ill. She preceded him in death in 2002.
A retired captain, he worked for 33 years with American Airlines. He was an avid photographer and traveler. In recent years, he enjoyed traveling with his friend and companion Fay Pettipiece of Victoria, British Columbia. He enjoyed his camera club, ANA and his coffee group.
He is survived by his son Christopher of Santa Fe, N.M.; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Bret Keehn of Sequim; and four grandchildren.
John H. ‘Jack’ McLauchlin
Graveside services with military honors were held for
Sequim resident John H. "Jack" McLauchlin, who died Sept. 3, 2009, at the age of 81.
He was born Oct. 9, 1927, to J. Herman and Katherine E. McLauchlin in Portsmouth, Va.
He spent his youth in Portsmouth before entering the Army Air Force for a more than 20-year career.
He married Mary M. Horton on Jan. 12, 1950.
Upon his retirement from the Air Force in 1966, the McLauchlins returned to Anchorage, Alaska, where he had served most of his active duty time. He worked for the federal government for another 10 years before joining the faculty at Anchorage Community College as an auto mechanic instructor.
The McLauchlins moved to Sequim in 1980, where he opened M&M Automotive after completing the construction of their new home. He was forced to retire again in 1987 for health reasons. He was an author, a member of the American Legion and a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Sequim McDonald’s.
Mr. McLauchlin is survived by his wife Mary McLauchlin of Sequim; dog Lady; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth Ann and John Crowe of Sultan; brother Joseph McLauchlin of Portsmouth, Va.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Thirza McLauchlin.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Evergreen Hospital, Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County or Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.

William Allen Anderson
Private family services will be held at a later date for Port Angeles resident William Allen Anderson, who died Sept. 13, 2009, at the age of 43. Cause of death is pending.
He was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Meeker, Colo.

Mary Jane Davenport
A service was held for Sequim resident Mary Jane Davenport, who died Sept. 14, 2009, at the age of 84.
She was born May 13, 1925.

Joyce Dorothy Gallagher
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, for Joyce Dorothy Gallagher.
Rosemary Barcellos
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Kingsway Four Square Church, 1023 Kitchen-Dick Road, Sequim, for Rosemary Barcellos, who died Sept. 5, 2009, at the age of 74.
She was born May 29, 1935, in California. She married Joseph A. Barcellos, who was a contractor in the Spokane area. and both owned and operated Rosie Cafe at Nine Mile Falls near Spokane.
They purchased a home in Sequim. He preceded her in death in 1999. Her cafe cooking experience carried over to cooking for church events and activities. Mrs. Barcellos loved collecting cookbooks, enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing. She made afghans for all of her family members and taught Portuguese to her grandchildren to teach them of their heritage. She never missed church unless very ill.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Shirley Barcellos of Sequim; John and Robin Barcellos of Sequim; and Jay and Chrissy of Spokane; sisters Addy and Lorraine; and three grandchildren.
