The Olympic Medical Center Foundation made a donation of $141,504 to Olympic Medical Center, foundation president Mary Hebert announced at the OMC board of commissioners meeting on Feb. 5.
The donations will go for:
• a cardiac stress test treadmill ($60,000);
• destabilization system for radiation oncology that OMC officials say will be 50-75 percent more accurate than current devices being used and should last another 5-7 years; and,
• a 3-D printer that will eliminate outsourcing.
The two cancer center donations total $81,504.
Executive Director Bruce Skinner said at the meeting that the foundation has given $753,101 to or on behalf of OMC during the past year.
Those interested in more information or in making a donation can call the OMC Foundation office at 360-417-7144, or sending an email to OMCF Executive Director Bruce Skinner said at bruce@omhf.org.
“We hope that many local people will become a part of our fundraising effort,” Hebert said.
“It’s an opportunity for people to leave a lasting legacy,” Skinner said, “and 100 percent of the monies raised will go towards Olympic Medical Center programs. There are also naming rights opportunities.”
