Olympic National Park seeks volunteers for revegetation projects

Olympic National Park offers year-round volunteer activities. This month the Matt Albright Native Plant Nursery and the Boulder Creek Campground are looking for volunteers.

The Matt Albright Native Plant Nursery (at Robin Hill Farm County Park) and Wilderness Revegetation Crew seek volunteers to get their hands dirty packing plants, cleaning and sowing seeds and transporting seedlings.

Regular drop-in volunteer hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday (closed Sept. 3 for Labor Day.) For more information about volunteer opportunities with the Elwha River Restoration Revegetation Project, contact Jill Zarzeczny at Jill_Zarzeczny@nps.gov or 360-565-3047.

The Boulder Creek Campground Revegetation project needs volunteers to prepare, transport and plant 12,000 new seedlings in the Elwha River Valley. The project begins this week and continues through October at the Albright Native Plant Nursery and at Boulder Creek Campground.
