Olympic spirit comes to Sequim

The U.S. Women’s Rugby Eagles team came to practice this week at the Albert Haller Playfields.

The U.S. Women’s Rugby Eagles team came to practice this week at the Albert Haller Playfields.

The team was preparing in Sequim on Tuesday and Wednesday on its way to a tournament in Victoria, B.C., as part of the rugby world series that determines the team’s seeding in the Summer Olympics.

This is the first time rugby has been in the Olympics since 1924.
