Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society can provide 100 free spays/neuters this year through the shelter’s Spay/Neuter Assistance Program.
Owners must meet certain income requirements in order to qualify for the program. The no-cost surgery is limited to two per household. The offer begins immediately and ends once 100 surgeries have been performed.
This is the second donation of $10,000 that the shelter has received this year from anonymous donors to fund spays and neuters.
“We are really anxious to see the impact these donations have on the number of kittens we take in this year,” said Dr. Suzy Zustiak, the humane society’s staff veterinarian. “This type of donation can make a huge difference in the lives of our animals.”
