Pageant pride: Waldron takes Mrs. Washington title

Royal returns: Olympic Peninsula native Magan Waldron takes top honors at the Mrs. Washington America pageant on June 23 at the at the Kenneth Minnaert Theater for the Performing Arts in Olympia. Waldron was among 19 other women from all over Washington state competing for the title, and moves on to compete for the Mrs. America on Aug. 25 in Las Vegas, Nev. Waldron placed in the top 12 in the state competition in 2015 and was third runner-up in 2017. A 2000 Port Angeles High School graduate, she lives with her family in Sequim. Her platform (charity) is Operation Uplift, a volunteer organization that supports Clallam County residents suffering from cancer of all types. For more information, contact Waldron at 360-460-3212.
