Starting this fall, a new collaboration between Peninsula College and Central Washington University offers Olympic Peninsula residents another opportunity to complete a baccalaureate degree.
In an agreement signed earlier this month, Central Washington agreed to provide a dual-admission option to Peninsula College students. P.C. students who wish to participate in the program and who complete the pre-application process will be conditionally admitted to Central Washington. While students are at Peninsula College, they will be able to access resources at both institutions.
The schools have developed Transfer Academic Program Plans that guide P.C. students intending to transfer to Central Washington into a specific degree program. At the time of transfer, Central Washington’s admission application fee and the confirmation deposit will be waived.
“Peninsula College is committed to providing and expanding its higher education offerings to all Olympic Peninsula residents — this new collaboration with Central Washington University is a key element in our ongoing strategic planning,” Dr. Luke Robins, Peninsula College president, said.
“The agreement provides yet another avenue for our students to earn a baccalaureate degree and build on their successful Peninsula College careers,” he said. “We look forward to working with Central Washington University on this collaboration and to our first cohort of students this fall.”
