Peninsula drivers can expect delays; DOT to remove trees, debris

People who use U.S. Highway 101 near Sequim and Discovery Bay, and State Route 104 west of the Hood Canal Bridge may want to build extra time into their trips Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 15-17.

Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be removing trees of concern, clearing brush and removing debris caused by recent storms, state representatives said.

Drivers will see one-way alternating traffic and intermittent delays at the following locations and times:

• 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 — U.S. Highway 101 between Sequim and Blyn

• 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 — State Route 104 between Beaver Valley Road and South Point Road/west of the Hood Canal Bridge

• 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 — U.S. Highway 101 between Blyn and Discovery Bay

This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
