Trever Gallauher of Port Angeles was sentenced Sept. 21 to 68 months prison for the January burglary of Carlsborg Self Storage.
According to court documents, the 37-year-old Gallauher and an accomplice entered the self storage by using a gate code and stole an estimated $60,000 of tools and car parts.
A facility manager noticed a missing lock on a unit and notified the renter.
A review of recorded video surveillance led officers to Gallauher, who admitted assisting another burglar for cash and drugs.
Concurrent with the burglary sentence, Gallauher received 60 months prison for a felony assault on his girlfriend while she held their 14-month-old son, by grabbing her by the throat and squeezing, then pushing her face into the floor and stomping on the back of her head, court records state.
Gallauher has three prior burglary convictions, three for forgeries and two for assaults, plus one conviction each for firearms, theft and eluding police, according to court documents.
Judge Christopher Melly sentenced Gallauher to the maximum of the standard sentencing range and granted a five-year restraining order for the girlfriend.
