PHOTOS: Rep-tales to tell

The Reptile Man — Monroe zoologist Scott Peterson — wowed a full house of children and parents with his touring band of snakes, lizards, tortoises and even a small crocodile named Lucy on June 25.

Held at the Olympic Peninsula Academy gym, this crowd-awing event was a part of the North Olympic Library System’s (NOLS) Summer Reading Program. The library system hosted the presentation three times on Tuesday with Peterson presenting first in Forks, then in Sequim, and finally in Port Angeles.

After his show, Peterson invited the children to take hold and take photographs with some of the reptiles including a harmless constrictor and a bearded dragon.
