Rick Porter, Clallam County District Court Judge No. 1, announced last week his intention to run for reelection. In a press release, Porter said he and his staff will continue to “improve probation and indigent defense services, expand the community service program, enhance the traffic ticket e-mail program, return a budget surplus every year and … maintain the delicate balance between accountability and grace.”
Candidate filing Week is May 12-16. The primary election slated for Aug. 5, with ballots mailed to voters on July 16. The general election set for Nov. 4, with ballots mailed to voters Oct. 15.
