The Rainbow Assembly #57, International Order of the Rainbow Girls, has purchased a JennSwing for physically challenged children as a service project.

The swing will be donated to the City of Sequim and installed at the swing set at Carrie Blake Park.

A dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting at the swing set, 202 N. Blake Ave., will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30.

The JennSwing is a full-body positioning support swing. Although the swing can be used by any child, from an infant just beginning to sit up independently to school-aged children weighing up to 125 pounds, it has been designed for children with physical and mental challenges for playground equipment in public recreation applications.

The swing was purchased from community donations and sponsors. Major sponsors include the Sequim Masons, Sequim’s Pilgrim Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and First Federal.
