Dr. Michael Reopelle joined the surgical staff at Olympic Medical Physicians in September.
Reopelle joined the surgery team “in part because he values the opportunity to participate in overall community health care and be a part of the very important trauma team,” Olympic Medical Center (OMC) representatives said.
Reopelle is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree from University of South Dakota and is completed his residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
He joins surgeons Charles Bundy, Georgia Heisterkamp, Matthew Levy and Sandra Tatro.
“Our general surgeons are vital to continuing OMC’s trauma program, as well as planned surgical care, which is why we are increasing access for surgeries,” said Josh Jones, MD, chief physician officer at Olympic Medical Physicians.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Reopelle to our excellent surgical group. His interest and skill in advanced laparoscopic procedures, as well as his focus on easing patients through their surgical journey makes him an excellent addition to OMP.”
OMC surgeons perform thousands of operations each year, OMC representatives said, from appendectomies, biopsies, hernia repairs and cancer surgeries as well as trauma surgeries.
