Sequim Middle School student Kevin Cassal is October’s Student of the Month, as picked by Sequim Sunrise Rotary.

Cassal is the son of Kevin and Robin Cassal. He has three siblings: Courtney, Kaleigh and Christina.

He was born in Port Angeles and has lived in Sequim since he was 2 years old.

His favorite school subject is history; he’s participated in the History Day Fair at both regional and state levels.

Cassal lists soccer as his favorite sport, playing in the Sequim Junior Soccer League since he was 6 years old.

Outside of school, Cassal enjoys reading, cooking, learning to play the drums and spending time with his family and friends.

Cassal plans to finish high school in the Running Start program and then go to a four-year college to earn a law degree. He’s also interested in going to a culinary arts school to become a master chef.
