An aspiring actress is patiently waiting for her time to shine – at Sequim Middle School.

Christie Honore, an eighth-grader who says she hopes to attend Yale drama school and act in movies or on television, is Sequim Sunrise Rotary’s Middle School Student of the Month for February.

Honore, who was born and raised in Sequim, enjoys her drama and language arts classes at school. Her favorite sport is basketball.

Outside of class, Honore says she enjoys art, collages, drawing, fashion design, do-it-yourself projects, reading, cooking and, of course, acting. She’s been in seven Missoula Children’s Theatre musicals.

In addition to an acting career, she says she hopes to launch her own fashion line.

Her mother, Julie, lives in Sequim.
