Stratton, Paulsen named to Idaho’s dean’s list

Staci Stratton, a 2007 graduate of Sequim High School, and Ferrol Paulsen, a 2009 Sequim High graduate, recently were named to the University of Idaho’s dean’s list for fall semester 2010.

To achieve this honor, undergraduate students earn a grade-point average of 3.50 or better with 12 or more graded credits. Paulsen is in Idaho’s College of Letters Arts & Social Sciences while Stratton is in the College of Education.

Dads, new parents tea events set

First Teacher hosts a tea for new and expecting parents from 9:30 a.m.-

1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at the First Teacher classroom. Stop by to learn about family services, developmental screenings, the First Teacher program and more. Refreshments are served.

First Teacher also hosts a “Dad’s Ice Cream Social” from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28.

The event is to honor fathers but is open to family members and includes ice cream and games.

Both events are in Room 4W, Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St. Call 582-3428.

Grad party organizers seek donations

Organizers of the 2011 Sequim High School Senior Party are asking for donations for the June event.

The senior party is an alcohol- and substance-free event for graduating Sequim seniors after commencement ceremonies. The party includes music, contests, food, prizes, raffles, games and more.

Donations are tax deductible.

The party is 10 p.m.-4 a.m,
