In honor of Veterans Day, there is no school in the Sequim School District on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The district office will be closed as well.

The following school assemblies will take place on Nov. 9-10:

• Monday, Nov. 9, at 10:45 a.m. in the gymnasium at Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave. The public is welcome and all veterans are invited to attend. Check in at the school office upon arrival on campus.

• Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8:30 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. in the gymnasium at Helen Haller Elementary School, 350 W. Fir St. Due to limited space in the gymnasium, only family members of Haller students who have served in the military are invited to attend.

• Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8:30 a.m. at Sequim Middle School in the gymnasium, 301 W. Hendrickson Road. The public is welcome and veterans are invited to attend. All guests should first check in at the front office. Veterans should plan to arrive a few minutes early so they may be escorted to a special seating area.

• Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. in the multi-purpose room at Greywolf Elementary School, 171 Carlsborg Road in Carlsborg. Space limitations prevent an open invitation to the public, but special guests from the military will be honored during the assembly.
