Richard brothers

make U.W. list

Kyle and Luke Richard, of Sequim, were named to the dean’s list at the University of Washington for fall quarter 2009. Kyle Richard has a finance major and is graduating at the end of winter quarter at age 18. He plans to enroll in law school next fall. Luke Richard, 17, is a sophomore in U.W.’s aeronautic and aerospace engineering program.

Ackley named to

Adelphi dean’s list

Taylor Ackley of Sequim was named to Adelphi University’s dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester.

Adelphi students who maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average with at least 12 credits are eligible for the dean’s list.

Ackley is a 2008 graduate of Sequim High School.

earn WWU degrees

Five students from Sequim earned bachelor’s degrees from Western Washington University following the fall quarter 2009.

They are Benjamin Fox, Bachelor of Science in geology (environmental geography concentration); Shannon McLaughlin, Bachelor of Arts in English (literature emphasis); Melinda Miano, Bachelor of Arts in drawing; Karina Omdal, Bachelor of Arts in education (elementary education studies); and Ben Stensland, Bachelor of Science in kinesiology/movement studies.

show auditions set

Auditions for the Sequim High School talent show are scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Performing Arts Building, 533 N. Sequim Ave.

Sequim trio

named to WWU list

Three students from

Sequim were named to Western Washington University’s honor roll for fall quarter 2009.

They are Daniel Lee Brooks, Roselli Marsall and Jonathan Wray Thom.

Brooks earned a special distinction for having a 4.0 grade-point average.

To qualify for the honor roll, students must complete at least 14 graded credit hours during a quarter.
