Seabrook follows her dream

Jayme Seabrook will take care of your “Hair, Body and Soul” at her new salon of the same name.

Seabrook, who recently spent more than five years at Great Clips, opened her shop at 354 W. Bell St., Suite B, in October.

Seabrook said she decided to open Hair, Body and Soul this September after her grandfather told her, “A dream is a dream. It’s up to you to make it your reality.”

He died the next day. That’s when Seabrook made up her mind.

Seabrook provides haircuts, coloring, perms, styling, eyebrow waxing, conditioning treatments and more for men, women and children.

She also now has a full line of Redken products for sale. She says the Redken products are the best because “They’re not full of stuff.”

“There’s no lye,” she pointed out, just good healthful ingredients.

She sells shampoos, conditioners, styling aids, gels and sprays.

Seabrook also sells “wool shake,” a hair treatment that “with a little scrunching” produces a nice “wild look.”

Seabrook said she has set up her salon to provide a comfortable “family type atmosphere.” That includes special rates for seniors and children.

The shop, located across Bell Street from Twice-Loved Books, is open from 9 a.m-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday Walk-ins are welcome or call 681-0605 to make an appointment.
