Sequim residents can help determine how and where Sequim accommodates change and provides affordable services as the community grows by more than 40 percent over the next 20 years.
Join fellow citizens for open houses from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, or from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at 167 W. Washington St. behind That Takes the Cake. Residents can drop in anytime to participate in self-directed activities that will help to set the course for land use and development mostly focused on one of the most important things in Sequim’s future – individual neighborhoods.
At the event, residents will consider the community’s new vision and express preferences about the form of growth and the character of new development as the city accommodates 3,000 new residents. Event activities will be highly visual and hands-on.
Results feed into the Sequim 120 process to prepare a new comprehensive plan which will guide new zoning, development regulations and city spending on public improvements.
Residents can join Sequim 120 today to keep informed about the process of the project and learn about upcoming events by leaving contact information on the project hotline at 582-2448, e-mail sequim120@sequimwa.gov, or visit the city’s website at www.sequimwa.gov/sequim120.
