Sequim free clinic elects new officers, directors

Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic has seated new officers and directors for the current year.

Audrey Gift, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, has been elected president of the board of directors. Gift was professor and associate dean for research and doctoral programs in the College of Nursing at Michigan State University before retiring to Sequim with her husband. She has served on the clinic board since July 2008 and was most recently president of the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society.

 

Tom Montgomery, LLB, was re-elected vice president. David Mattingley was selected for the office of secretary, and Jerry Sinn was elected to the office of treasurer, to which he had been appointed in October 2012.

 

Jim Pickett, former executive director of the clinic, was elected to the board of directors. Other members of the board include Bill Green, Dick Hughes, Patty Lebowitz, Eric Lewis, CPA; Margaret Preston, Captain, USPHS (retired); and Dave Salmon.

 

Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic, 777 N. Fifth Ave., Suite 109, also known as the Sequim free clinic, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the uninsured and under-insured in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. The clinic is supported by donations from community members and the City of Sequim. Olympic Medical Center and more than 70 health care professionals and volunteers contribute their services.
