Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners’ home, became a home-away-from-home for Sequim High School students on a field trip in May. Youths from Christy Ditlefsen’s Sports Marketing class and others from an accounting class and the school’s FBLA group make the trek from Sequim to the Seattle stadium. They got an hour-and-a-half long tour, seeing everything from the visitor’s clubhouse to the press box, the interview room and even the Mariners’ dugout. The were unable, alas, to rub elbows with Ichiro and other Mariners, who were in Baltimore for a day game. Sequim Gazette photos by Michael Dashiell
