Sequim hosts historic walking tour

Historic murals will be part of the hour-long Irrigation Festival historical downtown walking tour that begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, starting at the museum’s Exhibit Center at 175 W. Cedar St.

Matt Dryke recently showed wife Yvonne and daughter Ellen Lehman a mural recently put up on the old Sequim Town Hall.

Dryke, the 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist and world champion skeet shooter, is shown in a mural with businessman Hilmer Holgerson.

Among several others, the mural recently was remounted by the Sequim Museum.

Many of the murals will be part of the hour-long Irrigation Festival historical downtown walking tour that begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, starting at the museum’s Exhibit Center at 175 W. Cedar St.

Cost is $5 donation per person and has a maximum group number, so participants are urged to arrive early. A second tour leaves at 1:30 p.m.
