Ari Lee King, 41, of Sequim, was arrested on Nov. 12 for suspected murder of Diane Cunningham in Joyce.

Clallam County Sheriff’s Office reports King was found living under a bridge with his dog in a remote area of central Oregon less than 20 miles from where Cunningham’s car was recovered in early October.

Detectives learned from workers in a café in Juntura, Oregon, that King was seen in the area recently. The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested King on probable cause for murder.

Today, an interstate arrest warrant was issued by the Clallam County Superior Court for King on the charge of Murder 2 degree said Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron.

This will allow the extradition and or transport of King back to Port Angeles from the Malheur County area and should he waive extradition, he could return by tomorrow, Nov. 14, Cameron said.

King allegedly killed Cunningham, 65 in her mobile home on Oct. 6 by bludgeoning her to death.
