It will be open for business from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on Cedar Street in downtown Sequim.

New this week is a special exhibit by longtime market artists Randy and Sallie Radock of Rand-Star Images who will feature art and photos from recent travels to Africa with "African Safari Art Saturday."

Art is the theme of the day with the Sequim Humanities and Arts Alliance featured in one of three weekly Suzanne Arnold Community Booths. This budding community organization strives to provide a connection between community, culture and creativity in Sequim.

Also be sure to visit their neighbors the Port Angeles Symphony and the Children’s Hospital Guild – all three community organizations can be found in the rear of the market square.

Market visitors will enjoy a new market musician this Saturday. Shirley Smith-Moore will perform from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the market square, entertaining guests with her beautiful multi-octave voice.

The Open Aire Market means fresh local produce and farm products, and this week is no exception.

If you have not tried one of the cheeses being made by Fairaview Farm, you simply must. Penny’s Camembert is Moo la la!

Summer vegetables are coming into season so look for onions, garlic, lettuce, cabbage, squash, cucumbers, blueberries and more. Fresh fish and shellfish, baked goods and chocolate are available to take home.

You can learn more about the Sequim Open Aire Market with a visit to its Web site, www.sequimmarket.com, during the week or a visit to the market information booth on Saturdays, where you also can find Open Aire Market merchandise, including shopping bags.
