Another big turnout at Sequim’s downtown show-and-shine has funds raised to help a trio of locals with their future schooling.
Saturday’s Sequim Prairie Nights car show raised about $3,000 and will fund three, $1,000 scholarships for local students interested in the construction and automotive trades, event organizer Larry Perry said.
About 120 classic and modern cars and trucks lined West Washington Street, with crowds enjoying the sights and perusing local shops and eateries.
Show organizers also handed out about 100 hand-carved wood toys to young attendees, Perry said.
“And we’ll be doing it again next year,” he said.
