Sequim’s free clinic reopens for walk-in visits

After the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak forced its closure, the Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic, Sequim’s free clinic, has re-opened to walk-in visits.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic, 777 North Fifth Ave.-Suite 109, is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 4:30 p.m.

The clinic has a number of safety-related restrictions, however.

Visitors will be screened before entering the building starting at 4:30 p.m., and a maximum of four individuals will be allowed in the waiting room at one time.

Masks are mandatory and will be provided if needed.

Volunteers at the clinic ask that visitors be patient with any delays as the clinic’s new system is worked out.

Those concerned about their symptoms may call 360-582-0218 to leave a message for a phone screening prior to visiting to the clinic.

The clinic is unable to treat COVID-19 related symptoms and is not a testing facility, clinic officials note.

The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to medically under-served community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.

Individuals with questions or who are interested in supporting the clinic may call 360-582-0218. See www.sequimfreeclinic.org.
