UPDATE:  A press release from the Sheriff’s Office says Tamblyn voluntarily returned home today. 

Deputies of the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office took a missing person’s report on Victoria E. Tamblyn, a 47-year-old Sequim resident reported to be in poor health and despondent. Tamblyn reportedly has been missing since Wednesday, April 3, at about 9 a.m.

She was last seen in the area of Kinkade Road, Sequim, where she made statements to her roommate that she was going to go into the woods with the intent to be alone.

Tamblyn was ill-equipped for an outdoor stay and only took with her the clothing she was wearing which was a white down blanket, blue tarp and hunting knife.

Tamblyn was wearing a flowered knitted cap, dark blue or black parka with orange lining, grey hooded sweatshirt with the words PRIMO imprinted on the back, jeans and hiking boots. She is likely accompanied by her dog, “Bear,” who is described as a larger black dog with white paws.

The Clallam County Volunteer Search and Rescue team and deputies conducted searches throughout the weekend in the in the area of Kinkade Island with no success in locating Tamblyn.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Tamblyn.
