Society offers German genealogy class

A special three-part class on German Genealogy is being offered by the Clallam County Genealogical Society.

The class is taught by Rod Fleck, who has focused on German and military history for several years. He was the leader of the German Interest Group for the Seattle Genealogical Society for 10 years.

Classes begin Saturday, June 22, at the Port Angeles First Baptist Church Parish Hall, 105 W. Sixth St. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Fee for materials is $25 and is accepted at the time of registration. Registrants are to bring their own lunch.

The first class commences at 10 a.m. After a 15-minute break, the second class is from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The final class is from 1-2 p.m. Fleck has offered to tutor researchers in a special one-on-one session that interested people can sign up for.

The research center is at 502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday-Friday. Call 417-5000 or e-mail ccgs@olypen.com.
