Carolee Edwards, who joined the Sequim Police force in 2018 with about seven years of experience with New Mexico law enforcement, was promoted to sergeant with the SPD effective May 1, department officials said last week.
She will begin as a patrol sergeant assigned to day shift, they said.
Edwards was also an active-duty Marine for four years, a teacher of English in Japan for three years, and has experience working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sequim and North Kitsap.
Edwards has many outside interests including teaching exercises classes at the Sequim YMCA. She is married and has four children, two who attend schools in the Sequim School District.
“Carolee’s varied experiences will bring a unique approach and perspective to our supervisory staff,” SPD officials said in a press release last week.
