Turkey tournament on tap at SkyRidge and nominations sought for College Hall of Fame.

Nominations sought for PC Hall

The Peninsula College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for its 2016 induction ceremony, coming up in January. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 1.

The Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 2014, inducting the 1970 Pirate Men’s Basketball Team, Jerry Allen, Art Feiro, Kathy Murphy-Carey and Dr. Wally Sigmar.

Community members may nominate individuals or teams using a form on the Peninsula College Athletics website (www.pencol.edu), which also lists the criteria for the award.

Turkey tournament on tap at SkyRidge

SkyRidge Golf Course hosts a Post Turkey Day tournament, set for a 9:30 a.m. start on Friday, Nov. 27, at the course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway.

Format is a two-person scramble and better ball.

Cost is $60 per team; $20 team honey pots are offered. Fee includes gross and net prizes, KPs, LPs and lunch after play. Power carts are $15 per seat.

An optional horserace scramble after tournament and lunch is scheduled.
