Student financial aid workshop set at Peninsula College

To help students with Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) forms, Peninsula College hosts a free financial aid workshop this week.

The workshop is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Student Services (D Building) on the main college campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Learn about the new Washington College Grant, get help filling out FAFSA or WASFA forms and talk one-on-one with financial aid advisors. Attendees do not need to be a Peninsula College student or prospective student to attend the workshop.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a number of items: Social Security Number (or Alien Registration Number if not a U.S. citizen); federal income tax returns, W-2s and other records of money earned; bank statements and records of investments (if applicable); records of untaxed income (if applicable); and FSA ID to sign electronically.

Dependent students will need most of the above information for parent/guardian(s).

Those without these documents are encouraged to come to the workshop regardless.
