Sequim and Port Angeles communities are finding ways to help keep children healthy while school is out.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula provides free meals to children during the summer.

This summer, meals areserved at 10 locations from noon-1 p.m. Monday-Friday. There are no income requirements or registration.

Any child under age 18 may come to eat.

Breakfast served from 8-9 a.m. at both clubhouse sites for ages 18 and under — no membership is required.

Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like the club, to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.

Sequim sites: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula CCK Unit, Carrie Blake Park, Elk Creek Apartments, Mountain View Court Apartments.

Port Angeles sites: The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula Port Angeles Unit, Dream Park, Jefferson Elementary School, Evergreen Apartments, Shane Park and July 6-30 Roosevelt Elementary.
