For the fifth time, members of Sunland Golf & Country Club plan to bring local vineyards' finest wines to you this weekend in one spot.

For the fifth time, members of Sunland Golf & Country Club plan to bring local vineyards’ finest wines to you this weekend in one spot.

The wine tasting is set for 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Sunland Clubhouse, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim, with organizer Pam Grandstrom saying the event began in 2006 as a way to have more social events beyond golf.

In its first year, it was aimed to just Sunland members and saw 80 attendees, but Grandstrom said they are opening it up to everyone now.

This year features 27 wines from Harbinger Winery, Camaraderie Cellars, Olympic Cellars and Wind Rose Cellars from the area, Desert Wind and The Bunnell Family Cellar from Eastern Washington, Duck Pond Cellars from Oregon, and Mumm and Sandeman from California.

Participants can receive unlimited tasting for the evening along with samples from Mount Townsend Creamery, Chukar cherries and WeDo Fudge.

Sarah Shea and her accompanists provide music for the evening with wines on sale for a discount and a raffle.

Cost for non-members is $23 per pass or $8 for a non-alcohol pass.

Grandstrom encourages buying tickets beforehand by calling 683-6800, ext. 10, or visiting Sunland’s pro shop.
