SUV flips behind PUD HQ

A driver and passenger were transported to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles last week with minor injuries after their SUV flipped in Carlsborg.

Battalion Chief Elliott Jones with Clallam County Fire District 3 said that the unidentified driver experienced a medical emergency around 1:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, that led the person to crash a four-door 2004 Lexus RX into a rock wall and cause it to flip behind the Clallam PUD warehouse and main office by Hooker Road and US Highway 101.

Firefighters extricated the driver, Jones said, and the passenger was able to remove themself from the vehicle. He said the driver and passenger were transported to OMC with non-life-threatening injuries as a precaution.
